Our mission in this network is to connect LSP (Language for Specific Purposes) Higher Education practitioners and researchers worldwide and help establish a collaborative online community for sharing research data in different fields of LSP. Our primary motivation is to develop joint practice-based projects and evidence-based research that can enhance and strengthen the area. We strive to create a sound academic environment where LSP researchers can meet, exchange their ideas and find potential project partners, by reaching out and disseminating worldwide best practice.
In addition to English for Specific Purposes (ESP), which is a field in itself, the network aims at being a multilingual platform, enhancing the development and dissemination of research and practice in other languages. Besides German, which is already featured in the network, the platform can broaden its scope to other languages.
This platform allows you to:
- become a network member free of charge
- follow the latest research findings in LSP
- find partners for research projects based on the area of expertise and research interests
- devise, propose and submit EU and other institutions fundable projects
- design, apply and validate collaborative LSP teaching strategies
- share research data that can be used for comparative analyses
- disseminate research data
- author international research and practice-based publications, i.e. papers, books, monographs, teaching materials, etc…
